fly-jpn collects as little as it can. This policy explains what is collected, why, and your rights under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and similar laws such as the UK and EU GDPR.
Who runs this site
fly-jpn is run by an individual in Osaka, Japan. Contact: mail@fly-jpn.com
What we collect
- Server logs. Our host, Kinsta, records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, for security and to keep the site running. These logs are kept for a limited time.
- Affiliate link clicks. When you click a link that starts with /go/, we record the time, which provider and link it was, the page you clicked from and the position of the link on that page. We don’t record your IP address, browser or anything else that identifies you.
- Plausible Analytics. We use Plausible to count visits and see which pages and provider links are used. Plausible doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t collect personal data: it counts visits without identifying or following you, so it runs without asking. According to Plausible, its data is stored on servers in the EU.
We don’t ask you to create an account, we don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t sell personal information.
Cookies
fly-jpn itself doesn’t set cookies, and Plausible doesn’t use them either, so there’s no cookie banner.
- Provider sites may set their own cookies when you follow a link to them, including affiliate cookies that tell them we referred you. Their privacy policies apply there.
Transfers outside Japan
Our host (Kinsta) and Plausible (in the EU) process data on servers outside Japan. Where APPI requires it, this happens under contracts that protect the data.
How long we keep it
Click records are kept so we can see which pages help readers. They contain nothing that identifies you. Plausible keeps only aggregated statistics.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct, stop using or delete it. Contact us at the address above, and we’ll reply within a reasonable time.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below will change too.
